3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, 4 just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before [a]Him. In love 5 [b]He predestined us to adoption as sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the [c]kind intention of His will,
Loving Father, I’m so thankful for Your kindness. Because of Your kindness, you not only chose us, but you adopted us to be a part of Your family (let that sink in). You accepted me as holy and blameless (let that sink in). You accepted me as Your very own son (or daughter) (let that sink in). Because I am Your son (or daughter) I know that at any moment of the day I can call out on Your name (let that sink in). I call on Your name for grace. I call on Your name for mercy. I call on Your name for strength.
