What to Expect

OUR SERVICES

We meet at 304 East Butler Road in Mauldin, SC each Sunday at 10 a.m. Our services are about 1 hour and 15 minutes. Services begin with our worship team leading the church in music – song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of service is complete, one of our pastors will come out to share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

WHAT IS OUR CULTURE LIKE?

Weekend services at Freedom Church are all about Jesus. Whether through worship, giving, or the message, we want to know Him better and to make Him known. When believers gather in one place, with one heart and one vision, something special happens. Hearts are healed. Hope is restored. Faith grows, and relationships are forged that stand the test of time.

When you arrive for a worship service, you’ll find friendly people who aim to make your first visit an encouraging one.

HOW ARE YOU HANDLING COVID-19 CONCERNS?

Currently, we follow these guidelines as we meet each week:

Our seating is set up in small groupings of 3-5 chairs with appropriate distance between each grouping, allowing families to worship together while practicing social distancing.

Volunteers circulate regularly throughout the morning to disinfect common-touch areas such as doorknobs, restroom facilities, etc.

We ask that our church family maintain a respectful distance when visiting with one another and to remember that some may be more comfortable with non-contact greetings (especially those who may be wearing yellow or red bracelets). Elbow taps or “virtual” hugs/high-fives/handshakes are good alternatives to the real thing right now.

Masks are not required, but we have them available for those who would feel more comfortable wearing one and you are more than welcome to wear your own.

We do not pass giving baskets but have them available the back table to drop off your offerings.

We do not offer coffee service at this time – feel free to bring your own.  Small, sealed bottles of water are available.

HOW DOES LIVE STREAM WORK?

If participating from home is a better choice for you on any Sunday, please know that we completely understand and welcome you in spirit as you watch the live stream here. The live stream starts at 10:00am with a 10 minute countdown that allows those in the building time to connect. We hope that, from your home, you will join those of us in the building with singing, praying, and attentive listening. To facilitate fellowship, we invite you to join our Freedom Church Family Facebook group which will remain active with regular posts each week.

WHAT DO I WEAR?

Our weekend gatherings are for you—so dress is casual.

WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?

We believe that kids should have a blast at church every single week – and at Freedom Kids, we make this a priority. The other thing we make a priority is your children’s safety. Because of that, we have a check-in process for the first time you visit. You’ll want to arrive early to get signed in for a Freedom Kids experience. We offer children’s ministry each Sunday for kids infant through Grade 5. Because our classes are small, we are able to interact with the children in a way that respects COVID-19 protocols/guidelines well.
